Craft Breweries in Myrtle Beach

Craft Breweries in Myrtle Beach

The craft beer scene in Myrtle Beach and much of the Grand Strand hasn’t quite taken off yet, baffling visiting beer lovers and locals in need of a unique brew. Myrtle Beach does, however, have three beer staples in the heart of the city. Experts believe it’s only a matter of time before entrepreneurs realize the massive potential for craft breweries in Myrtle Beach. There have been murmurs over the years about new beer ventures potentially opening in the Myrtle Beach area, but nothing has surfaced for one reason or another.

For now, though, our beautiful beach city does have one brewery and two brewpubs that are currently serving some of the best beer in South Carolina. Whether your group is in town for a wedding, conference, or tournament, Together Resorts has the largest selection of group vacation rentals that sleep anywhere from eight to 128. After an eventful day, treat the whole gang to a pint at these three breweries in Myrtle Beach.

New South Brewing

New South Brewing rests in a quiet industrial neighborhood less than a mile from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! For those who are accustomed to grand brew halls or lavish taprooms may be surprised to find New South in a shabby factory-building-turned-brewery. New South will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this November, a milestone very few envisioned when this microbrewery took flight in 1998. While this Myrtle Beach beer staple is due for a new facility, there’s no denying the whimsical charm and bare-bones appeal of this brewery. There’s pleasant outdoor seating, an old-school bar, and indoor event space near the tall, silver fermenters. But beer aficionados don’t arrive at New South for the decor. The beer is hands down the best in town. Their taps often rotate, but we highly recommend the Dark Star robust porter, Oktoberfest amber lager, and the all-American IPA.

Gordon Biersch of Myrtle Beach

Gordon Biersch has restaurants all over the country, but each brewpub has a unique lineup of beers depending on the skill level of the head brewer. This Myrtle Beach staple is often overlooked because it’s a chain, but there’s no denying their delicious, rotating craft beer selections. Gordon Biersch is less than a mile from the Grand Park Recreational Complex, making it a popular spot for teams or families after baseball, softball, and soccer tournaments. Some of the beers we’re absolutely loving right now at Gordon Biersch are the Czech pilsner, festbier, Mosaic IPA, and hefeweizen. It doesn’t hurt that their tacos are to-die-for!

Liberty Brewery and Grill

Liberty Brewery may not receive the rave reviews that New South and Gordon Biersch earn, but it’s conveniently located inside Broadway at the Beach. They also have 16 in-house beers on tap (and four guest brews). Their beer recipes are also used in their High Point, NC, headquarters. Not every beer at Liberty is a home run, but their Grapefruited Abe IPA, Cuckoo for Cocoa Stout, Blueberry Blonde, and many other seasonals are divine.

Visit Myrtle Beach

After you’ve visited these three breweries in Myrtle Beach, return to your vacation rental for an evening in the swimming pool, hot tub, or film room. Give Together Resorts a call at 1-855-585-2121 to learn more about our sizable vacation homes within minutes of the beach!

Top 3 Cafes in Myrtle Beach

Spend each morning on your escape to beautiful Myrtle Beach by trying a new cafe. Together Resorts, one of the best Myrtle Beach resorts, is the ideal locale for a summer family reunion, group outing, or sports team lodging. Our luxurious, spacious accommodations are central to all the area’s premier cafes. Whether you’re visiting for a golf trip, baseball tournament, company retreat, or family get-together, you’ll need a daily pick-me-up to start each morning. Try all three of these terrific cafes the next time you’re in town!

The Roasted Bean

The Roasted Bean, located on a quiet street near Grand Park Recreational Complex, serves up Myrtle Beach’s best coffee and delicious breakfast entrees. Relax in the outdoor patio, overlooking Howard Avenue, with the roast of the day. True to their name, they roast their beans on site. Their flavored lattes are delicious, but the real treat at the Roasted Bean is their famous frappes. Choose between six tasty flavors–we recommend the chocolate peanut butter. If you’re hungry, their homemade quiche is spectacular.

Boardwalk Coffee House

best myrtle beach resortsIf you’re planning on taking a morning stroll on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, slip into the Boardwalk Coffee House. Boardwalk has a little bit of everything. Their caramel macchiato is possibly the best coffee drink in the city, and their strawberry waffles, cinnamon rolls, and breakfast sandwiches are all delicious. They also have turtles, truffles, danishes, caramel apples, and mouthwatering frappes. Sit down for breakfast or stop in for a coffee on the go–Boardwalk Coffee House is one of Myrtle Beach’s hidden gems.

Crepe Creations Cafe

Crepe Creations Cafe has the best savory crepes on the East Coast. Choose between 35 breakfast, dessert, and savory crepes. Try their delicious cordon bleu crepe with seasoned chicken, black forest ham, swiss cheese, and honey mustard. The breakfast “crepesadilla” has scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar, mozzarella, roasted chili olive oil, and salsa. Sweet, fruity crepes are also available. Crepe Creations has a sizable seating area, perfect for groups. They’re in the same neighborhood as the Roasted Bean, meaning both establishments are within minutes of the best Myrtle Beach resorts.

Best Myrtle Beach Resorts

Our private resorts sleep up to 48 guests at one time, making Together Resorts the only choice for family reunions, sports teams, and group outings. Kirk’s is best known for their chocolate-covered and sprinkled ice cream cones. Fill and top your colorful cone with Myrtle Beach’s best ice cream. Choose between a wide variety of flavors, including peanut butter cup (the crowd favorite), lemon banana pudding, strawberry cheesecake, blueberry pie, wacky waves, and many more! They do love their sprinkles—you can even cover your ice cream with them. Get swept away by the nostalgic pink-colored exterior and parlor-style decor inside. The whole family can agree upon a sweet stopover at Kirk’s.

South Carolina’s Best Pralines

The word praline might not be familiar, but you’ve likely seen or tried these chocolatey, nutty chunks of heaven. An American praline is a fusion of pecan, syrup, and cream. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. River Street Sweets on Broadway slings the best pralines in the state, possibly the country. River Street also has mouthwatering saltwater taffy, scrumptious caramel apples, creamy fudge, and piles of gummy candies. Don’t hesitate to ask for samples—one sample of their tasty treats and you’ll be reaching for your wallet.

Chocolate-Crusted Key Lime Pie

When you’re not splashing in our outdoor pool or hosting a ground-level cookout at one of the best family reunion resorts in Myrtle Beach SC, head to Sweetgrass Bakery and Cafe for the best key lime pie in town. Sweetgrass bakes their key lime pie in a chocolate crust! They also have crispy almond brittle, soft oatmeal raisin cookies, unrivaled carrot cake, and spectacular cream cheese croissants. Book A Fishing Charter

Try your hand at catching dinner by taking a Myrtle Beach fishing charter! Fishing charters vary greatly based on where you go, how long you go out, and what type of fish you want to catch, so be sure to do your research ahead of time. Typically, guests can choose from a full day charter or a half-day trip and choose from inshore fishing, nearshore fishing, or offshore fishing. Guests can also catch everything from flounder, tuna, and mahi mahi, which are great for eating, or go for the sportfish like blue marlin or sailfish, which are extra fun to catch. If you are interested in a fishing charter, research boats that leave out of either Little River or Georgetown, as those are the two most popular departure points.
