Craft Breweries in Myrtle Beach

Craft Breweries in Myrtle Beach

The craft beer scene in Myrtle Beach and much of the Grand Strand hasn’t quite taken off yet, baffling visiting beer lovers and locals in need of a unique brew. Myrtle Beach does, however, have three beer staples in the heart of the city. Experts believe it’s only a matter of time before entrepreneurs realize the massive potential for craft breweries in Myrtle Beach. There have been murmurs over the years about new beer ventures potentially opening in the Myrtle Beach area, but nothing has surfaced for one reason or another.

For now, though, our beautiful beach city does have one brewery and two brewpubs that are currently serving some of the best beer in South Carolina. Whether your group is in town for a wedding, conference, or tournament, Together Resorts has the largest selection of group vacation rentals that sleep anywhere from eight to 128. After an eventful day, treat the whole gang to a pint at these three breweries in Myrtle Beach.

New South Brewing

New South Brewing rests in a quiet industrial neighborhood less than a mile from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! For those who are accustomed to grand brew halls or lavish taprooms may be surprised to find New South in a shabby factory-building-turned-brewery. New South will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this November, a milestone very few envisioned when this microbrewery took flight in 1998. While this Myrtle Beach beer staple is due for a new facility, there’s no denying the whimsical charm and bare-bones appeal of this brewery. There’s pleasant outdoor seating, an old-school bar, and indoor event space near the tall, silver fermenters. But beer aficionados don’t arrive at New South for the decor. The beer is hands down the best in town. Their taps often rotate, but we highly recommend the Dark Star robust porter, Oktoberfest amber lager, and the all-American IPA.

Gordon Biersch of Myrtle Beach

Gordon Biersch has restaurants all over the country, but each brewpub has a unique lineup of beers depending on the skill level of the head brewer. This Myrtle Beach staple is often overlooked because it’s a chain, but there’s no denying their delicious, rotating craft beer selections. Gordon Biersch is less than a mile from the Grand Park Recreational Complex, making it a popular spot for teams or families after baseball, softball, and soccer tournaments. Some of the beers we’re absolutely loving right now at Gordon Biersch are the Czech pilsner, festbier, Mosaic IPA, and hefeweizen. It doesn’t hurt that their tacos are to-die-for!

Liberty Brewery and Grill

Liberty Brewery may not receive the rave reviews that New South and Gordon Biersch earn, but it’s conveniently located inside Broadway at the Beach. They also have 16 in-house beers on tap (and four guest brews). Their beer recipes are also used in their High Point, NC, headquarters. Not every beer at Liberty is a home run, but their Grapefruited Abe IPA, Cuckoo for Cocoa Stout, Blueberry Blonde, and many other seasonals are divine.

Visit Myrtle Beach

After you’ve visited these three breweries in Myrtle Beach, return to your vacation rental for an evening in the swimming pool, hot tub, or film room. Give Together Resorts a call at 1-855-585-2121 to learn more about our sizable vacation homes within minutes of the beach!

Winter in Myrtle Beach: Warm Up the Family in South Carolina

Winter in Myrtle Beach: Warm Up the Family in South Carolina

As autumn briskly transforms into frigid winter for much of the United States, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, remains a beautiful, warm, and sunny coastal paradise. Yes, there are going to be occasional chilly beach days during the winter months, but most afternoons hover around 60 degrees. After spending months in freezing temperatures (subzero for some of you), 60 degrees and sunny is going to feel like 90. Together Resorts has family-sized vacation rentals scattered along South Carolina’s coast. We know better than anyone that winter in Myrtle Beach provides families with a warm, peaceful, uncrowded, and beautiful South Carolina getaway.

Winter in Myrtle Beach?

There are many reasons to choose a family vacation during winter in Myrtle Beach, but the low prices are undoubtedly number one. Average prices at most hotels in Myrtle Beach drop over 55 percent! While many families are embarking on winter getaways via cruise ship, you can save hundreds, if not thousands, on resort rates alone. Most beachfront attractions, especially ones geared toward families, stay open during the “off-season.” And your family won’t have to squeeze through large masses or wait over an hour for dinner because the summer crowds have come and gone until mid-March.

Things to Do in Myrtle Beach in the Winter

Just because the temperatures occasionally drop into the 50s here in Myrtle Beach doesn’t mean there isn’t a seemingly endless amount of family-friendly activities minutes away from Together Resorts. Winter in Myrtle Beach isn’t complete without visits to WonderWorks, SkyWheel, Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium, GTS Theatre, and Broadway at the Beach. You can, of course, always play 18 holes at a world-renowned golf course, search for seashells on the beach, or visit nearby Brookgreen Gardens.

Together Resorts

Together Resorts is, first and foremost, a premier destination for large groups, families, and reunions. Most Myrtle Beach hotels cannot accommodate nearly 50 people under one roof, but our massive vacation rentals were explicitly designed to host groups of all sizes. We’ve hosted groups of eight, 48, and 128, all at once. To find the unit that’s best for your family, give us a call at 1-855-585-2121. Availability occasionally varies because of sports travel teams, so remember to book a winter vacation before rates inevitably rise.
